CubeTube, an indoor photovoltaic electrical generator, can power your workstations by using wasted energy from your lighting fixtures. This is accomplished by the unique design specific to indoor florescent, incandescent, and ambient light harvesting. The device simply clips to cubicle walls, or can be placed on desktops or windowsills. CubeTube's patented cylindrical shape allows light harvesting in all directions, not just overhead. Unlike other solar energy products, CubeTube will not be affected by weather changes because it works completely off of indoor lighting.
This technology is the perfect solution for any employer looking to lower their electrical bills. The device is inexpensive, easy to install, and will quickly pay for itself in electrical savings. After installation, your workers can simply plug their electrical devices directly into the base of CubeTube.
CubeTube is available in different sizes in order to fit any cubicle workstation. Custom accents for the product are also available. The technology uses two types of generators to charge the batteries contained inside of the cylinders. A smart charging system monitors the charge level of the batteries to determine their discharge rate. Due to the built in excess battery capacity, the charging device is capable of switching between the banks of batteries. This is especially important during a blackout because CubeTube's reserve batteries can run a workstation for several hours.
If CubeTube is no longer able to support the workstation on its own, an automated switching device is in place to switch the workstation back to the A/C grid. Once charged, the smart system will switch the user back to the CubeTube system. These cycles will occur seamlessly, without the user even realizing that the switch occurred.
We will market CubeTube to business, institution, and residential owners. Businesses and institutions with a large number of cubicle workstations and sufficient ambient lighting will benefit most from this product.
